I was invited to exhibit in a show at VCA Gallery Melbourne in 2010. The title of the show was 'Trouble Set Me Free', curated by Catherine Bell and the curatorial premise was "how artists deal with trauma. I referred back to the accident and brain rehab. One morning in rehab I awoke to find a spot of blood on my pillowcase. I asked the nurse if I could take it. He was puzzled but allowed me to have it. It is a standard pillow case. The blood spot is almost bottom central. The markings on the top right are hand embroidered. James traced the scars on my head and I transferred the lines. A truly gorgeous collaboration with JB.
