I found some time over the past two weeks to create a response to Julie for our Collisions Project. I saw my Mum for the last time the day before she died and I wanted to creat comfort, security, momento, longing, sadness and decoration. Taking the extremely personal into the public domain through juxtaposition of materials. I think? I may have succeeded?

I have always been interested in the sparse interior. The placement of objects and images can be quite inspiring. This is the petrol station cafe in Broke NSW. Love the way the horns are displayed.

influences project #2

along with my passion for song lyrics, I still sit and watch Rage most Saturday mornings and know that I could make much better video clips. Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart, along with Ultavox's clip for Vienna have been influential in my image making.

I have been a fan of Felix Gonzalea-Torres for many years. Along with his candy piles, his series of curtains are overwhelmingly passionate and emotional.
